The Giant Speeds Into Duluth, Paul R. Tregurtha Arrives

The Paul R. Tregurtha was built in 1981 by the American Steamship Company., of Lorain, OH, it is 1,013'06 Feet long, 105 Feet in width, 56 in depth, has a maximum carrying capacity of 68,000 tons, has 36 hatches and 5 holds, it has a 260 Foot boom length, can unload 10,000 tons of cargo per hour and 6,000 tons of coal using it's unloading boom (The big crane like thing on it's deck), runs on two MaK - 6M43C diesel engines for a top speed of 15.5 Mph, has 6 cylinders, and has a rated horsepower of 17,120 bhp.
The Paul R. Tregurtha had the name William J. DeLancy from 1981-1990, and now the Paul R. Tregurtha from 1990-on. The Paul R. Tregurtha is currently the Queen of the lakes (The largest vessel on the Great Lakes).
The vessel has had two nicknames in it's career, one "Fancy Delancy", and the other "Big Paul"
The Paul R. Tregurtha is currently owned and operated by the Interlake Steamship Company., of Middleburg Heights, OH.
The Paul R. Tregurtha arrived Duluth Mn on June 16, 2020, around 8:15 Am, I was Filming.
