The Blough Greets The Block As It Departs Two Harbors

The Roger Blough was built in 1972 by the American Steamship Company, of Lorain Ohio, it measures 858 Feet in length, 105 Feet in width, 41'06 in depth, has a maximum carrying capacity of 43,900 tons, the Roger Blough runs on two Pielstick - 16PC2V-400 Diesel engines which give her a top speed of 16.7 Mph, has 16 cylinders, and has a rated horsepower of 14,200 bhp.
The Roger Blough has had the same name since launch.
The Roger Blough is one of the only vessels on the Great Lakes that has a shuttle boom (The hole near the back of the ship is where it is stored) the only other ones being the Stewart J. Cort and the Edgar B. Speer. A shuttle boom is basically an unloading boom except way smaller.
