The patient had a routine hernia repair surgery.
The surgery went well.

As the doctor was closing the patient, the tip of the needle that he was using to stitch the patient broke off within the surgical site.

The doctor looked for that needle tip.
He spent 10-15 minutes searching.

He couldn't find it.
After 15 minutes he gave up.

He decided to close up the surgical incision without finding this needle tip.

When the doctor saw the patient the following day in the hospital, he told him everything went great.
