He wants to get this question out.
He needs an answer from this witness.
It's cross examination.
This is the defense's main expert.
If he gets a good answer, he's is well on his way to winning this case.
Except there's one problem.
The judge refuses to allow him to ask the question.
The judge refuses to allow the witness to answer the question.
Why is that?
Simple.
It's a bad question.
It's not phrased properly.
It has too many assumptions.
It's not a straightforward question.
It's a convoluted question.
It's confusing.
Each time your attorney asks the question, the defense lawyer stands up and objects.
Each time the defense attorney objects, the judge agrees and says "Objection sustained!"
Finally, after many attempts to ask the same or similar question, your attorney asks the judge, in front of the jury "Judge, what's wrong with my question?"
Does the judge answer him?
Does the judge suggest another question he can ask?
Does the judge tell him how to fix his problematic question?
