I was at a deposition.
My client was being questioned in a medical malpractice case.
She sued her doctor claiming he was careless.

Her doctor denied any wrongdoing.

The attorneys who represented the doctors and hospitals in her case were there to question her. During this questioning, the attorney was, in my opinion, asking inappropriate questions. I objected to certain questions.

Then, the defense attorney started arguing with me about why he believed the questions were appropriate. I disagreed. Instead of trying to ask different versions of the same question, the lawyer got frustrated and demanded to call the court to get a ruling.

"You are welcome to do whatever you feel is necessary, but I will NOT participate in any phone conference with the court to obtain a ruling," I told the opposing lawyer.
