What Will Your Lawyer THINK if You're Unable to Remember an Answer During Your Malpractice Trial?

You're more worried about what your lawyer will think than what the correct answer should be.
You're seeking your attorney's approval.
You're hoping he'll give you a 'thumbs-up' after you've testified.
You want to make your attorney proud.
I'm sorry to say but your thoughts are misguided.
You shouldn't be focused on what your attorney thinks.
Your goal when testifying is not to make him proud.
Your goal is to explain to the jury what happened to you.
Your goal is to have the jury understand how your injuries have affected you on a daily basis.
Don't focus on what your attorney thinks or will think if you can't remember an answer to a question during cross-examination.
It happens.
Move on.
Being a witness and testifying is scary.
It's a hostile environment.
Being cross-examined is not exactly fun.
But it is a search for the truth.
Your goal is to be honest and help the jury understand what you went through.
If you forgot something, admit it and move on.
There are usually other records or evidence that will establish the point the attorney is making.
