Mike R.: Plumber: When do you hear the noise?
Mike R.: Plumber: Running hot taps?
Mike R.: Plumber: Running any tap?
Mike R.: Plumber: When nothing is running?
Mike R.: Plumber: Do you have a circulation system?
JustAnswer Customer: I hear it when I turn on the hot shower and when I turn on hot for the cloths washing machine.
JustAnswer Customer: It seems when there is a volume of hot water needed that is growls the most.
JustAnswer Customer: I did circulate vinegar through the system but no joy.
JustAnswer Customer: I have a soft water system but no circulation system.
Mike R.: Plumber: I am glad you did the phone call.
Mike R.: Plumber: Calling in about a minute.
Mike R.: Plumber: Spin down filter You would not use the shut off valve but instead thread an adapter where the shut off valve is in the picture and pipe it to the outside faucet.
Mike R.: Plumber: Then whenever you turn the outside faucet on you would flush the filter of debris
Mike R.: Plumber: 1"x3/4" reducer
Mike R.: Plumber: Compression fittings This isn't exactly the right fitting.
Mike R.: Plumber: It should be 7/8" compression x 3/4" MIP but I could not find it on the web site.
Mike R.: Plumber: They do have them by the water heaters.
Mike R.: Plumber: The threaded part that goes to the outside faucet where the shut off is on the filter is 1/2" MIP so whatever type of pipe you decide to use to go to the outside faucet will be 1/2" FIP x 3/4"
