Extreme Rusted Antique Brazilian Meat Grinder - Restoration

Hello guys How are you doing?
In this video i show you how to restore a Antique Meat Grinder.
This Meat Grinder was send to me for custumer, so i restore it like it was and I didn't make any new part for it.
I don't know how many years this tool have, the only thing that i know is the brand, Indaia a Brazilian company.
To start restore this tool i make Electrolysis, i prefer this method cause it makes more easier to disassemble without broken any part.
After electrolysis is done i disassemble with a wrench and a file, the only tools i needed for this job.
With all parts apart from each other i put them in a bath made with Hot water an hydrochloric acid and leave for 3 hours, the result was way better than i expect.
Now i begin to remove all the casting marks on the surface and inside to make it smooth.
I also wire brushed all parts with a benchgrinder to clean some rest of rust on the surface.
Before start to paint i make a seasoning to protect inside from rust and prevent the food.
With the seasoning done after 2 coats i begin to paint with Primer Spray (i'm sorry i forgot to record this part), and after the Primer dried i sanded with a P400 and paint with a Yellow Spray.
I also painted the letters with a nail polish gold.
Time to make a new wood handle, the old one have seen better days hehe'. With my wood lathe and chisel i begin to mold the wood in shape, then i sand it with a p600 and make a hole with a bench drill.
And let it set in a olive oil.
The square nut needed to be restored, so i file, sand and polish that.
I brought a new washer to support the Meat grinder on tables and painted it with the Yellow spray.
And everything is ready to assemble.
With the assembly done, i test it to see how it works. I used Carolina reaper, pepper bell and onion.
Perfect restoration!
