THE PIPKINS All You'll Ever Get From Me
Internet first.
NON HIT WONDERS
Blast from the past!
EVERY SONG A NON HIT!
SONG #0675 23-06-23
Title: All You'll Ever Get From Me
Artist: THE PIPKINS (Greenaway & Burrows)
Format: LP
Label: Columbia SX SCX 6418
Year: 1970
Composer: Roger Cook, Roger Greenaway
Producer: John Burgess
Arranged/conducted: Jerry Butler, Lew Warburton.
Publisher: Cookaway Music
Footnote:
First published on Cookaway Music formed by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway back in 1968 after a few years with Maribus (DJM) and Mills Music. Here’s Roger Greenaway and Tony Burrows known as The Pipkins performing “All You'll Ever Get From Me”. A song that had just been released a few months earlier on 45 by The Sweet. However the Pipkins versions is more of a fun take off! Composed by Cook, Greenaway and produced by ‘Kin’ John Burgess and arranged, conducted by Jerry Butler and Lew Warburton. Recorded at George Martin’s Air Studios in London’s Oxford Street. Released on The Pipkins Columbia album “Gimme Dat Ding” way back in 1970. That’s right!
Something different for a change. Instead of hearing the same hits over and over again, I have dug out 3 thousand related songs to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. All are NON HITS!
I will be playing one song a day. It looks like I'll be finished in around 9 years time!
All songs are somehow related to Cook & Greenaway. Written, Produced, Performed, Back vocal, Record label, Publishing. ENJOY!
