FIVE’S A CROWD Heaven Knows
Internet first
NON HIT RADIO...BLASTS FROM THE PAST!
EVERY SONG A NON HIT!
SONG #337 22-06-22
Title: Heaven Knows
Artists: FIVE’S A CROWD
Format: 7" Mills Acetate / CD
Label: Fontana Demo / Wooden Hill
Year: 1965 / 2008
Composer: Roger Cook, Roger Greenaway
Footnote:
This song “Heaven Knows” composed by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway whilst assigned to Mills Music in Denmark Street (London’s Tin Pan Alley). The song was recorded by a group known as The Five’s A Crowd” who were in fact a Surrey based beat group called The Hi-Fi’s, featuring on vocals the talents of Malcolm Lenny & Brian Bennett. Brian soon changed his first name to Bryan, so it wouldn't get confused with Brian Bennett of The Shadows. The group was formed in 1962 and split in 1969. This song was recorded in 1966 and was unreleased until a bonus track on a album compilation titled “Snakes and Hi-Fi’s” in 2008.
Something different for a change instead of hearing the same hits over and over again, I have dug out 3 thousand related songs to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. All are NON HITS!
I will be playing one song a day. It looks like I'll be finished in around 9 years time!
All songs are somehow related to Cook & Greenaway. Written, Produced, Performed, Back vocal, Record label, Publishing. ENJOY!
