FREDDIE & THE DREAMERS The Night Is Over
NON HIT RADIO....Blast from the past!
EVERY SONG A NON HIT!
SONG #0516 15-11-22
Title: The Night Is Over
Artist: FREDDIE & THE DREAMERS
Format: LP
Label: Columbia SX 6177
Year: 1967
Composer: Roger Cook, Roger Greenaway
Producer: John Burgess
Arranger: Harry Robinson
Publisher: Mills Music
Footnote:
Composed by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway whilst assigned to Mills Music in London’s Denmark Street whilst known as David And Jonathan, under the wings of George Martin. Here is Freddie and The Dreamers performing “The Night Is Over” and was produced by John Burgess. Released on the Columbia album “King Freddie & His Dreaming Knights” way back in 1967. Also on the album was another Cookaway song “Don’t Tell Me That”. Two years down the road Freddie recorded yet another Cookaway song, this time on a 45 titled “Get Around Downtown Girl”. Returning to the song “The Night Is Over” was also released on a Columbia 45 a year prior in 1966 by Pat Wayne.
Something different for a change instead of hearing the same hits over and over again, I have dug out 3 thousand related songs to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. All are NON HITS!
I will be playing one song a day. It looks like I'll be finished in around 9 years time! All songs are somehow related to Cook & Greenaway. Written, Produced, Performed, Back vocal, Record label, Publishing. ENJOY!
Useless information composed by John Holman (chronology researcher for rogercook.com).
