THE NEW SEEKERS Somebody Somewhere
NON HIT RADIO...BLASTS FROM THE PAST!
EVERY SONG A NON HIT!
SONG #0432 24-09-21
Title: Somebody Somewhere
Artists: THE NEW SEEKERS
Format: LP
Label: Polydor 2383 195
Year: 1973
Composer: Roger Cook, Roger Greenaway, Jackie Rae
Producer/Arranger: David Mackay
Publisher: Cookaway Music
Footnote:
Here are The New Seekers performing a not so well known Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway song “Somebody Somewhere (Is Waiting To Love Me)”. The Roger’s composed this one with Canadian songwriter Jackie Rae and arranged by David Mackay, way back in 1973 and recorded at Barry Morgan Studios in Harlesden, London. Released on The New Seekers “Now” album and “The Best of” box set from Reader's Digest (RDS 810). Songwriter Jackie Rae also co-wrote other classics like “Please Don't Go” with Les Reed for Donald Peers, and “Happy Heart” with James Last for Andy Williams.
Something different for a change instead of hearing the same hits over and over again, I have dug out 3 thousand related songs to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. All are NON HITS!
I will be playing one song a day. It looks like I'll be finished in around 9 years time! All songs are somehow related to Cook & Greenaway. Written, Produced, Performed, Back vocal, Record label, Publishing. ENJOY!
Useless information composed by John Holman (chronology researcher for rogercook.com).
