Pilates Exercise of the Day - Ballet inspired Hip Mobility & Balance Exercise | Ballates | Balletes

This was a nice warm up exercise I did with my students last night during my 43rd Free Pilates class online.

It helps with balance, coordination and mobility in the hip and knee as well as the shoulders.

It also helps with core stability and you can easily progress this by:
a) doing the entire exercise on tiptoe
b) not resting the lifted leg on the supporting/standing leg
c) you can also keep your hands on your hips (elbows pushed backwards) or arms raised above your head (biceps covering your ears and your fingertips pressed together).
