Are you scared of aging?

Aging is a gift that I want to celebrate always 🫶 aging is a funny thing to me because I remember my whole life wanting to be older. Old enough to drive a car, old enough to go to college, old enough to get my own place, old enough to get married etc. And then in my late 20’s something strange happened. My friends who were turning 30 starting saying they were turning 29 for the second time. And I began to realize we had reached a “prime” age that people around me didn’t want to progress past. We are constantly shown wrinkle serum ads and ads of 18 year old models. women of a “certain age” aren’t very celebrated in our society but instead often pushed to the background. Well today on international women’s day we are going to celebrate my mom and her being FABULOUS at 63. She’s overcome more in her life than I can fit into a caption. Yes, she’s beautiful on the outside but she’s also the first person in her family to go to college and paid her own way and went on to be a middle school teacher.
