GUITAR PLAYTHROUGH - MORE THAN I CAN SAY - LiTTLE LONDON

Well now, this was a blast from the past!

When Jade asked me to do a Little London playthrough of any song, my thoughts instantly popped somewhere else but I can't do that without Fuller, so that's on it's way I promise.

But how could I say no to Jade when she's got her shiny top fan status? I simply can't so here's me having a crack at 'More than I can say' doing a bit of both guitars to give a good overview of the sterling guitar work Fuller did on this track.

Taken from our first EP recorded at The Old Blacksmiths studio and mixed/mastered by the wonderful ears and hands of Rich Tamblyn. this was our first proper recording and it all came together really well, he did an amazing job of capturing the ferocity of the band but keeping it sonically under control, no mean feat I'm sure.

Tom was on the bass for this one, a man clearly destined for great things and even at his ridiculously young age, was already one of the sickest Bass players I had ever heard. The fact he was also equally as good on guitar was just annoying! Also one of the funniest guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, he has done incredibly well for himself and quite right too.

Written about needing someone to fill those little gaps in yourself that make you rough around the edges and how easy it is to think someone can be that for you when they are probably not that person. That sense of relief in thinking you have that, means all the more when you are free of doubt, however misguided.

Fuller added so much to style of this song, the dual guitars, the riffage and little noodly bits that make it so fun to play, to my ears making it stand out from all the songs we did. I'm gonna update this video with his proper playthrough when we both get the chance. Without Fuller, it just isn't Little London to me.

The guy who played drums on this version isn't a big fan of mine but he did ok. I like to think of Kris as our drummer when I look back though, the human clock himself and such a hard hitter I often felt sorry for the drums themselves.

The photo was taken from a different line up much later on, think it's when we got back together and got screwed by a label but that's another story. It's a great photo taken by the very talented Nicholas Adams and I love it.

Well, enough waffle from me, this was a lot of fun despite the hangover and if people dig it I'm gonna do some more, we will see how that goes.

Stay safe everyone, stay motivated and keep it evil.
