THE HELLACOPTERS - LIKE NO OTHER MAN - GUITAR PLAYTHROUGH

Not content with manning the drum stool for Entombed (another band I've got to get on some playthroughs of...) Nicke Andersson decided it was time to take his side project full time.

The Hellacopters.

Holy s***.

100% fuel injected action, garage rock and with enough hooks to make a sea monster run in fear, they were exactly what I was looking for when I heard 'Paying the Dues'. Trust me, it's well worth picking up if you're into high octane rock and roll, guitars and have a pulse.

Interestingly, as the Hellacopters career progressed they dialled back the distortion on the guitars, becoming more 'retro' and arguably even better.

I had to play through this one as it's been on my mind for the last day or so, I wanted to start with their debut record but I couldn't find my copy, which is very upsetting but another story altogether.

This track is in D standard, so tune down a whole step and tear it up.

I used my Marshal DSL on the crunch channel, really pushing the front end and an Electro Harmonix as a boost to really get that thick sound, it's the best I could emulate this incredible production.
