There are many places in the world where the local residents vigilantly protect their coral reefs! And many of these reefs are in waist deep water, so you have nothing to fear! All you have to do is put a mask on, and you will see a dazzling sight that you will never forget! Key Largo, Belize, and Cozumel come to mind. Elsewhere the Cayman Islands, and Bonaire will not disappoint you! You do not have to scuba dive to see these living jewels - snorkeling is just as much fun. I have been doing both for many years.
