Preview November 19 2021

It was cold and windy on this day last week. And I was literally putting my weight on my tripod, trying to keep it from vibrating in the wind. Just whent I thought I would never see a wolf - one came trotting across the sage! At this point I had not seen a single wolf in days - but I was deliriously happy to see this one - even though he was so far away - at least a mile! But he actually put on a show for me as he climbed to the top of a large rock and scanned the panorama for elk. I don't know if he saw the elk or not but they were very close to him; a little beyond the trees. As the black wolf looked from atop of the rock, you can see him looking right - then left - THEN I like to think he looked directly at me. That made my day!
