My encounters with the bears! Join me as we take a close look at these magnificent beasts!

When I first encountered these huge bears in a Alaska, I was scared to death! For the first time in my life I was coming face to face with creatures that were much bigger than I was! They were powerful animals and every human and other wildlife definitely gave them the right-of-way every time we crossed paths! At the time, aspiring wildlife photographers (like me) almost had to go to Alaska to get good pictures of the bears - and this was in 1998 before I started shooting video. But the bears in Yellowstone came under better protection and by the early 2000's sightings became common in Yellowstone. So that's where I concentrated my efforts and began shooting as much video as I did stills! These are some of my most memorable scenes! Thank you for your subscriptions, likes, and comments! ~ Mike
