Summary of B-Die Memory Testing - Kingston HyperX Runs 5000MHz+ with CL14 1T on Z490 DARK K|NGP|N
Here is the summary of my recent Samsung B-die DDR4 memory testing, of which I showed some screenshots on my community page very recently. As I got this brand-new G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4400 CL16 2x8GB kit from another local user, I wanted to test all of my sticks thoroughly while keeping the CPU on Single-Stage Phase Change cooling. Keeping the CPU at around -62 celcius really helps the IMC, as we are hitting the IMC limit of these CPUs when going around the 4800MHz level.
Pretty much all of my single-sided kits are able to do 4800MHz in different workloads with 14-13-13 timings and Command Rate 1T. When I ran the CPU on SS (Single Stage) I had the best outcome with 1x HyperX Predator 4133 CL19 Stick, and 1x Galax HOF OC Lab 4800 CL19 stick, which was very solid for 4933MHz in Super PI 32M with 14-14-14-28 1T timings and tight sub timings. The HyperX Predator sticks were the best overall as they could always post easily and quickly the desired settings and even passed Geekbench 3 at 5000MHz with 14-14-14 and Command Rate 1T, which is a whopping score for air cooled memory sticks. On top of that they are solid in Super PI 32M at 4900-4933MHz and could even pass 5066MHz in Geekbench 3 with Command Rate 2T.
With Dual-Rank memories there was also some gain, max being at around 4820MHz with 14-13-13 timings but with Command Rate 2T. With 14-14-14 should go even much higher.
