In this stranger things analysis video essay i examine whether stranger things season 4 is too scary.
When stranger things season 4 was released on Netflix this summer it immediately created a huge reaction online due to its shift from being a spooky sci fi show to a full on horror show, taking inspiration from 80s horror movies such as A Nightmare on elm street.
The Season main villain Vecna was created using 90 percent practical special effects and was portrayed by actor Jamie Campbell and i examine why this helped make Vecna a scarier villain than anything in Stranger things previous seasons.
I examine why stranger things creators the Duffer brothers made this shift in genre, and whether it was a good or bad thing for the show.
