The episode titled The Cartridge family first aired in the united states in 1997, however sky tv would refuse to air the episode in the uk at the time, and it wouldn’t been seen on British television for another 4 years, eventually airing on the BBC.

The Simpson having episodes banned in different countries wasn’t a completely unique thing, with episodes such as thirty minutes over Tokyo, blame it on Lisa, and weekend at Burnsie’s all having been banned in different nations.
