"The Show Boat" Medley Played by Harry Perrella in a 1928 Welte Recording
This medley from the 1927 musical "The Show Boat" with music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein is played on Welte Mignon roll Y-75339 by pianist Harry Perrella, who recorded many popular works for the Welte system. The selection on this April 1928 recording are "Can't Help Lovin' That Man", "Ol' Man River", and "Why Do I Love You."
The piano is a 1921 6'2" Baldwin Welte Licensee grand restored in early 2020 at Historic Pianos.
