Guitar Warm-Up and Stretching - Episode 5 - Mr V's Guitar Journ(ey)

This week's lesson/journal entry has us taking a bit of a break from adding on material to practice. Instead we will continue practicing what we've previously worked on and also discuss a daily warm-up and/or cool-down. Please see my disclaimer below... Here's a list of the daily warm-up routine I do:

1. Three minutes of down picking 8th (or 16th) notes with metronome;
2. Three minutes of alternate picking 8th (or 16th) notes with metronome;
3. Legato (hammer-on and pull-off trills) 20 seconds per finger combination: 3-4, 2-4, 2-3, 1-4, 1-3, 1-2;
4. Two minutes of bends and slides;
5. Five minutes of the chromatic scale;
6. Five minutes of alternating between two chords;
7. Extension strengthening (with rubber band or fingers);
8. 22 second Stretch (prayer, invert, pinch finger tips, and spread fingers).
