Some of Barry Manilow's biggest hits were not composed by him - irony - as he is a songwriter and producer of great note in his own right. 'Let's Hang On' is of course a cover - of The Four Seasons - which was a huge hit in late 1965. 16 years later Barry released his version and it entered our charts in late November of 1981 and spent 5 months there; peaking at #4 in early 1982 and registering as the 27th best seller of that year. It only reached #32 in his homeland, and #12 in Britain. Lifted from his 8th LP 'If I Should Love Again', 'Let's Hang On' helped it to be another million seller for the artist.
