HOW TO MAKE THE EASIEST LEMON SOY CHICKEN WINGS | PARTY FOOD
~ TOKYO OLYMPICS 2021~
It's been a really strange time and I wish I could be in Japan and that we were having a full-on Olympics with all the spectators, but I'm so glad it's finally happening... so we're celebrating with some nibbles - mainly chicken wings. Take a peek into our home Izakaya (aka tapas bar).
Serves 2
1 kg chicken wings
1 lemon
7 tbsp soy sauce (~125ml soy sauce)
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp water (~70ml water)
This is SUPER easy - I don't know how I can make a simpler recipe really... It's what my mum used to cook - and it was one of our favourites. Though looking at all these recipes, I think we had a lot of favourites (≧◡≦)
I normally use a whole lemon for this recipe. The tartness of the lemon works well against the soy sauce. If you’re not keen on acidic flavours, use less lemon juice but I strongly recommend you try this with a whole lemon.
I've included the miso dipping sauce on the video
Miso dip:
2 tsp shaoxing wine
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp miso
1-1.5 tbsp honey
I'll include the other things (namasu pickles, crispy rice - yaki onigiri, but the flat version) on some other videos. Hope you have fun cooking and eating together („• ֊ •„)
