KOREAN STYLE PANCAKE RECIPE | LUNCH IN 10 MINUTES | チヂミレシピ

This is brilliant as lunch or as a snack and it's surprisingly tasty for something so simple. The dipping sauce is what makes the difference for me. Try this when you're short for time and need something to eat asap. If you can get Chinese garlic chives at your local Asian shop I highly recommend it, but if not, you can use spring onions as a substitute.

If you want to add bacon, lay 3 or 4 rashers after you pour the batter on the pan. Once the bottom has cooked, flip the whole pancake over. It might take an extra minute or two for the bacon to cook through properly. When it's done, you'll have crispy bacon on your pancake.

Or if you're vegan, exclude the egg and add a bit more water. It'll still be a tasty pancake.

For 1 pancake
50g plain flour
30g corn starch
1 egg
1 tbsp soy sauce
pinch of salt
Approx 60ml water
1/2 onion
4 Chinese garlic chives (or use 3 spring onions)
(Optional: use unsmoked bacon as topping)

Serving suggestion: dipping sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp chilli oil (sesame oil is great if you don't like spicy food)
sesame seeds
