The New Tissot PRX Powermatic 80: What’s It Like And How Does It Compare To The Original Quartz PRX?

The Tissot PRX took the watch world by storm when it was first released back in February and it was set to be THE sub $500 watch of 2021, offering Genta design and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus wrist presence. When I reviewed it, it was an incredible watch and it still is. However, the one thing many people were asking for was a PRX with an automatic movement. Tissot announced the automatic version with a Powermatic 80 movement with the classic tapisserie / waffle dial in March and the watchfam was very happy and excited.

I have one here with me and I will be going into the details of what this new automatic version is like now that it has 80 hours of power reserve and a fully upgraded dial. Also I will be comparing it to the quartz version that I have owned for the past 4 months. Is the almost $300 dollar premium worth it or should you save your money and just buy the quartz version? In this video I will be answering this question and many more.
