The COOLEST 62MAS Dial I've Seen: The Near Perfect Islander Northport ISL-154 Review

The release of the Seiko 62MAS back in 1965, changed the world of dive watches because the 62MAS is the origin of so many classic Seiko designs that came in the decades after it. The design and experience of the 62MAS lives on even today and it has been reincarnated by seiko through the likes of the SLA017 and SPB143. Beyond this, many other companies has taken inspiration and created their own version of the iconic watch. One of those brands is Islander

Marc and Ryan together created the Islander Northport ISL-154 as their own take on the classic 62MAS. But for me it turned out to be a watch that was tailored for me considering the subtle yet interesting wave dial, gray bezel, and tapered bracelet, all aspects that are rarely seen on most other 62MAS homages. So given how great it is on paper, did it live up to the expectations in real life? Well…yes and no.

In this video I’ll take you through the different aspects of the watch including the awesome dial, case, movement, and bracelet to see whats what. As always I will get into the details of the dimensions and how it wears on the wrist to make sure that you have a good idea of how it could wear on your wrist.
