The Watch(es) I Wore The Most 2023: Wrist Time/Collection Stats Analysis (+Watch Of The Year!)

2023 has come and gone unbelievably quickly and it was an eventful year to say the least! Times like these make you reflect on the year that has passed and for us watch nuts we look back at what has happened in the watch world and what was on our wrists. I have loved reading Hodinkee’s “The Watch I Wore The Most” article at the end of every year and that got me thinking. I wear so many watches but I wonder what I ACTUALLY wore the most? Was it one of my many Seikos, like my SSK001 GMT / SPB313 / Captain Willard SPB265, or my much loved Tudor Pelagos and Black Bay 54? Or was it a Longines or my Omega Speedmaster / Seamaster?

SO since 2018 I have taken a wrist shot every single day which means that I have exact numbers and stats about what has been on my wrist over the past 6 years.

In this video I’m going to talk about my top 5 most worn watches of 2023 and then I’m going to delve into the many numbers and stats that will tell me how much I've been wearing a dive watch, watches on a bracelet, what size of watches is my favorite, and finally how my collection and wearing habits have changed over the years.

These numbers are always illuminating for me because I’m able to see exactly which watches I have and haven’t worn through an entire year. This helps me make better purchase decisions and it has helped me decide which watches to sell as well. However, one of the best parts of having a wrist shot for every day of the year has been having a short summary of the whole year in watch form. Since I have everything chronicled, I know when every memory has happened and I know which watch I had on my wrist. And that, for us watch nuts, is a big part of the original memory.
