100 Years of Pattern Drafting: My Fall Historybound Wardobe [CC]

I made 5 outfits for fall from 5 different Sewing Pattern Drafting Guides! They span over 100 Years, from 1895 to 1972, for a historybounding wardrobe worthy of any time traveller. Making 100 Years of Patterns was a wild ride, but it was amazing to see what kind of results I got from these different methods!
I apparently cannot be stopped, the chaos demon energy is alive and well in me. This will definitely round out my #historyboundsewing adventures this autumn!

All of these systems and books were gifted to me or thrifted over the past two years, and I have several more. The ones I omitted were because they bore too close a resemblance to the ones I decided on. Some of them are pretty common in thrift shops and estate sales:

The Lutterloh Fashion system: nearly identical to the Style 'n' Fit kit
The Sure-Fit kits: These are similar to the Vogue and Dorothy Moore systems, but with a slightly more structured beginning model.

who really came to my rescue in searching through Chinese dressmaking resources. These sources were largely in Chinese script and in the form of screen shots and etc. A lot of the information that came in useful was getting the specific romanised keywords which improved my searches. The language barrier and the internet favouring english-language sources limited my ability to find information that was both reliable and effective. So even screenshots was a huge help. I am incredibly grateful to these creators for their blogs, pictures, and links.

Historical Costuming is an amazing and diverse place. We must learn from each other, and be welcoming to everyone, from beginners to seasoned professionals, from all income groups, racial and language backgrounds, and all styles of costuming. Not only are these people amazing in their own right, but they have - by their hard work and willingness to share, made me a better costumer. This is not a one-size-fits-all hobby.
