World War Two Sewing Challenge: Air Travel Edition
Welcome to a video written, edited, and partially recorded in airports and airplanes. This is my (late) entry for the World War Two Sewing Challenge (Travel Edition) hosted by some very excellent folks (links below!) #wwiisewingchallenge
I made this pin-up style halter dress last week as part of the World War II Sewing challenge hosted by @SewBiased @TheVintageGuidebook , and @ThistlenStitches . The challenge is to follow, as much as you can, the rationing limits that were in place in the UK during World War II. World War 2 rationing created a whole new era of historical fashion. 1940s fashion and its austerity would lead to the exuberant style of the 1950s and beyond!
Originally, this was going to be a very different video. It was going to be finished and scheduled before I left Calgary so that I could keep on my schedule and match the challenge deadline. That did not happen. Sometimes you just gotta make do! (Make do and mend. Get it?)
