1910s Cape - Made in Isolation Miniseries #1 | #adcapecult
I’m so excited to start this little set of minisodes where I take you through some of the projects I created off-camera during this period of self-isolation.
The first project: The American Duchess 1910s Wrap Cape! This little number has been making the rounds on Instagram and YouTube with the hashtag #adcapecult and for good reason! It’s a great looking cape and very easy to put together.
This was a great chance for me to try a few things I hadn't done before, like working with slippery lining fabric, certain kinds of hand sewing, and a look back at a totally different era of historical costume and fashion history!
