My Plan to Buy 100 Rental Properties

I made this plan back in 2013! It has not gone exactly as I planned but it was extremely motivating and helped me tremendously in my investing career. I bought 16 rentals from 2010 to 2015 but then stopped because prices got so high in Colorado. I could not longer cash flow with residential rental properties.

I was going to buy rentals in a new market like Florida when I discovered commercial real estate. I realized I could still cash flow and get good deals. I bought 11 commercial rental properties from 2017 to 2020 and I am still buying them now.

Since my plan to buy 100 rentals did not make sense with commercial rental properties I made a new goal to buy 1,000,000 square feet of rental properties. That is a super motivating goal for me and something I can easily see and know if I am making progress.
