Epson P9570 Test results when paper adheres to the core
So what happens is the paper manufacturer ensures that paper will not detach from the core? The answer is in this video. The P9570 violently rips the paper off the core - tearing the paper and causing printer errors. At this point the damage is so much that you need to re-roll the paper onto a new core.
Note this seems to happen with heavier papers, 290-350g rag papers, and we have seen it with various papers from Legion, to Hahnemuhle to Lexjet, as well as numerous and regular head strikes.
We stand by our statement that the Epson SureColor P9570 is a defective printer.
