Editing Black and White drawings for Print

This is a rather unedited video of me working real time on a black and white pen and ink drawing, preparing it for giclee printing. I've intentionally left this unedited, and in real time, as I explain what I'm doing and thinking as I work on the image.

There are a number of ways to achieve the same result, but the important thing is to isolate the white and make it pure white, which means an RGB value of 255 255 255. Anything else and your white background will be grey.

Even if you intend to have a manila or off white background, you'll need to isolate the white area and either make it white, or off-white (slightly yellow). You simply can't achieve that in a simple, fast way by running curves.

This particular drawing required a lot of work, and most don't take this much work, but it was a good example for this video.
