Adobe prophoto vs adobe RGB 1998

There is the ongoing debate in the print world of whether or not printers can really take advantage of Adobe Pro Photo in printing, as the gamut is much wider than any printers. So I decided to take a look at the color spaces using ColorThink Pro from Chromix.

Looking at the two ICC profiles and different printer profiles, it seems a little bit of a mixed bag, but it does seem like some printers can in fact take advantage of the Adobe ProPhoto Color space in the yellows and blues mostly, but that there is still a wide area of color that can't be printed, and will be brought into gamut through color adjustments when printing.
