Which film is better, My Bloody Valentine or Valentine?

In this episode we will be comparing Valentine's Day horror movies MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) with VALENTINE (2001).

Both of these holiday horror flicks are noteworthy for following the trends of 80s and 90s horror and more or less being a HALLOWEEN ripoff and a SCREAM ripoff set on Valentine's Day. Valentine even stars Marley Shelton, who would go on to appear in Scream 4.

Despite both films being derivative, they offer top notch kills, even in the face of severe MPAA censorship. They also both feature iconic an iconic Valentine's Day killer, with The Mine (aka Harry Warden) and The Cupid Killer (Jeremy Melton).

As these are the most notable Valentine's Day slashers out there, not including the 2009 remake MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D, they're prime contenders for this fright. So place your bets. Which is better MY BLOODY VALENTINE or VALENTINE? The Miner vs. Cupid Killer.
