Welcome to FRIGHT CLUB, the horror movie battle ring where YOU vote for the winner. Make sure to check my channel's community tab every THURSDAY to vote for the latest match up.

Which film is better, Get Out or Us?

In this episode we will be comparing director Jordan Peele's seminal horror masterpiece GET OUT (2017) starring Daniel Kaluuya; with his doppelgänger horror follow up US (2019) starring Lupita Nyong'o.

Both films are noteworthy for drawing attention to Black Cinema and Black Horror Cinema for their strong African American representation and inclusiveness in the horror genre.

Jordan Peele wrote and produced (through is company Monkey Paw Productions) the upcoming Candyman reboot, slated to release in 2021) and is attached to reboot The People Under the Stairs, along with an as of yet unknown third written and directed movie in the works.

In the meantime, critics and audiences only have Get Out and Us to measure the writer/director's achievements, and when stacked together, they're pretty high. But how do they measure against each other?

Is Get Out better than Us, or is Us better than Get Out? Let's dive into the symbolism and meaning behind each film in this horror face off to find out which one is Jordan Peele's best movie.

With both films leaving their mark on the horror genre, which one did you vote for as the best?

We will be comparing the movies in 5 rounds, followed by the results from the poll in which you voted on last week (found in the community section of this channel).
