Monthly Mission 4/5: Form-2-Speed Drill! (Explained)

Hello Mission family! Get faster at home with the Form-2-Speed drill from our April practices. Shadow box with this drill, then apply to heavy bag, and pads if available.

Form-2-Speed Drill:

Step 1- Practice your moves extremely slow! Work on form as you overly control and exaggerate every part of the motion.

Step 2- Next loosen up, relax, and practice your moves smoothly. Still using enough control to maintain general form, let go of any extra control and move more naturally. (No extra muscle, express your movement!)

Step 3- Now go for max speed! Find the balance of control and looseness needed, then add in enough muscle to practice your moves as fast as possible.

*If your speed causes any major mistakes in form that would get your hurt and keep you from protecting yourself, go back to step 1 and practice form longer!
