When was Kimi Raikkonen at his best in F1?
Kimi Raikkonen will retire from F1 at the end of the 2021 season. To celebrate the Iceman's great Formula 1 Career, we're looking at the best moments from his career.
Starting with Raikkonen at McLaren in 2003, and his battle with Michael Schumacher, before moving on to his titanic battle with Fernando Alonso and Renault in 2005.
2005 is particular special, as it includes many classic Kimi moments, including his last lap tyre failure at the Nurburgring and his drive from 17th to 1st at the 2005 Japanese Grand Prix.
We then cover Raikkonen at Ferrari in 2007 and his eventual title win at the 2007 Brazilian Grand Prix. Raikkonen would leave F1 in 2009 to go rallying before returning in 2012 with Lotus.
Kimi returned better than ever, both on track and over the radio. Who can forget his "leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" radio message during his race win at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2012.
Raikkonen then returned to Ferrari for a final stint alongside friend and teammate Sebastian Vettel. This run of course led to one final win, a stunning drive at the United States Grand Prix in 2018.
We end with Kimi's return to where it all began, Alfa Romeo Sauber, including his epic first lap at the 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix, before giving our verdict on the Iceman's best season.
Let us know your favourite and what you think was his best ever season in the comments!
