ATG Principle #1 Athletic Range - Is it the missing link?

What role is the connective tissue playing in the lift?

The results of training are dramatically impacted by the range that is selected.

Not just because "Strength is gained in the range it is trained" as Charles Poliquin said...
Some exercises directly increase injury risk as we get stronger in them while others will dramatically decrease injury risk... even when training the same muscle... even when going through what is traditionally considered "Full Range Of Motion".

Athletic Range is a new paradigm in athletic development that encourages coaches and athletes to reconsider the connective tissue contribution to strength.

Ben Patrick was the first person I saw using this idea effectively.
When I saw ATG in 2018 I knew that it was something special that the world needed to see and I told Ben exactly that.

What Ben did differently was to sequence from SHORT to LONG working further into the extremes than any program I'd seen in 20 years of obsessive research...

Short & Long manipulation does show up in some bodybuilding programs and I think it's the bodybuilders who tend to use the principle best. Bringing this idea to the athletic world and taking it another step further has created a revolution where ten's of thousands of coaches are reconsidering their programs and hundreds of thousands of people have changed the way they train legs...

This is only the beginning!
