First off, you will need a cake or some sort of equivalent dessert to begin down the path of Geode caking. Cut out the parts you want to fill in with rock candy and eat them off camera, no need to be wasteful! After that, apply a thin layer of buttercream to act as a delicious adhesive. Take your rock candy and crush it into different usable chunks in order to compile your masterpiece. Once smashed sufficiently, begin from the center and place rocks. Every so often, change color to add to the effect, and finish it off with an edible paint to help make those sugar rocks stand out! That’s it, you are done after that!
