DIY Loft Wet Room Floor Build With Underfloor Heating - Including Shower Area Build - Time-lapse

In this series of my DIY loft build I construct the Wet Room Floor including shower tray, tanking, electric underfloor heating installation and finally tiling and grouting.

This is in several steps. Firstly the shower tray needs to be set in to the floor including supports. The waste needs to be plumbed in as you can't get to it later and then you are ready for the 'above ground' work. Then the rest of the floor needs to be built up using composite boards to give that hotel like wet room level floor.

The composite boards need all of the gaps sealing but only after it has been primed to aid adhesion. So then the sealing begins using tape supplied in the kit followed by more priming and then, at last, the taking compound which creates a water tight seal.

Then I'm ready to tile. I show how to set out, get tiling and then, finally, grout to a profesional standard finish. I also show how to do the drops in the wet room shower area...it's actually not hard.

And that is it...the floor of my DIY Loft Conversion DIY wet room is done. Next for the shower plumbing....
