Tour of Britain 2012 - Stage 2 - Chelford Sprint

Stage 2 of the 2012 Tour of Britain passed through the village of Chelford in Cheshire en-route between Nottingham and Knowsley. At Chelford, there was the 2nd of the day's sprint sections, which was won by Peter Williams of Team Node 4 Giordana.
The leading group passed through with six riders, about 1m22s clear of the main peloton, which was headed by Team Sky with recent Olympians Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish. The leading group was eventually caught by the peleton with 25km to go.
The stage was won by Leigh Howard of Team Orica GreenEDGE in 4h 31m 9s.
