You sued your doctor for medical malpractice.
You believe he was careless and caused you harm.
Your medical expert confirms you have a valid case.

Your doctor, the one you sued, disagrees.
He thinks he did nothing wrong.
He thinks that whatever he did, did not cause you harm.
Anyway, he thinks that your injuries aren't as bad as you claim them to be.

During your lawsuit, the lawyer who represents the doctor you sued will have a chance to ask you lots of questions. This is a process known as a pretrial deposition. It's also called an examination before trial. Nowadays, it takes place on a zoom video call.

You are on the call. Your attorney is on the call. The opposing lawyer is on the call along with a court stenographer to record all of the questions you're asked and all of your answers.

One of the questions you're asked is:
"Hey Mr. Jones, have you ever brought a lawsuit before?"

It's a simple question.
It's a straightforward question.
It's either yes or no.

In the back of your mind, you know that you have brought a lawsuit before.
Maybe even more than one.
Instead of telling the attorney that, you decide he'll never know the difference.
Instead of answering "Yes," you decide, in a moment of haste, to answer "No."

Will that matter?
Will it affect your case?
Want to learn the answer?
Watch the video to learn what will happen if you answer no, when your answer should be yes.

Then, if you want to learn about the times you are likely to be frustrated during your medical malpractice case, I invite you to watch the videos below.
