Wokeism here to stay despite reports suggesting woke rhetoric is decreasing says Will Kingston
The Spectator Australia’s Australiana Podcast host Will Kingston predicts the struggle against wokeism will continue for a number of years despite publishers asking for books on lighter topics.
Publishers are on the lookout for ‘fun books’ after books on weightier topics and feelings dominated the shelves for the past number of years.
“I think this may be an ebb in proceedings,” Mr Kingston told Sky News Australia.
“The progressive - or the illiberal left, have so effectively taken over the education system, and the education institutions.
“Until we take back control of the education systems, until we take back control of the curriculums, the people who are being taught, are going to go into the workforce, go into the media…. And you are going to keep having these peak arguments for a long, long time.”
