Australia ‘needs to scale back’ on international students ‘across the board’

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says Australia needs to “cut back” on international students “across the board”.

Mr Canavan said he thinks the country has to “scale back” on net migration.

“Far too many have come in, that’s been the major growth that we’ve seen with our net overseas migration,” he told Sky News Australia.

“We need to cut back on international students across the board.

“I do welcome the government finally, finally waking up on this issue, but can they really be trusted to do this.”
