Anime has something for everyone: Ashwini Singh at TEDxYouth@ACS
A self-confessed anime fanatic, Ashwini Singh has enjoyed more than 300 shows in the past three years. What could inspire such devotion? Her answer pulls together philosophy and technology and media studies, and takes apart thought-provoking scenes from a few of her favorite shows. Like all narrative forms, anime allows its fans to ponder the human condition ... so don't tell Ashwini it's only for children.
TEDxYouth@ACS is the IB CAS project of Dina Shriem and Dennis Hilgendorf. For more information, please visit our event profile (http://www.ted.com/tedx/events/10781).
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
