𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶çã𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂ê𝘀 / 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻ç𝗮𝗶𝘀 / 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗸𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗶 𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮
Nossos espelhos quebram a monotonia da vida cotidiana na floresta tropical. Mandrilhas, gorilas, leopardos e outros animais selvagens podem vir a esses espelhos à vontade e ficar na frente deles pelo tempo que quiserem.
Tendo percebido que vários leopardos machos vinham a este espelho, significa que o plantamos em vários territórios, pois estes felinos são animais territoriais!
Foi possível distingui-los sem erros graças às manchas escuras, com formas e localizações particulares em seu pêlo, chamadas de "rosetas".
Entre esses felinos, há um macho viciado no espelho, reconhecível por sua mancha preta sob a cauda acima dos testículos, suas duas manchas pretas sob três manchas pretas na parte externa da perna posterior direita inferior, e por seu padrão semelhante a um G maiúsculo (como o Gabão) acima da sobrancelha esquerda.
Ao assistir aos 34 vídeos de 45 segundos que este macho acionou em 17/02/2020, infelizmente tivemos que notar que ele perdeu o pé direito, vítima de uma armadilha de caçador furtivo.
Embora incapacitado, 35 dias depois, ele tinha até recuperado o peso de 9 meses atrás e, além da sua deficiência, ele parece estar com boa saúde! (vídeo acionado em 21/03/2020)
Incapaz de correr rápido, para sobreviver, este leopardo provavelmente teve que mudar sua dieta para presas menores, tais como: duikers comuns, genetas servalinos, mangustos, anfíbios, morcegos, ratos, ratos do gigante Emin muito presentes nesta região, assim como os porcos-espinhos.
Para algumas dessas presas, ele teve que adaptar sua técnica de caça à sua deficiência, esperando por elas quando saíam de sua toca e se jogando sobre elas, pegando-as com as garras de sua perna dianteira válida, depois matando-as mordendo-as na parte de trás do pescoço?
Esperamos que ele continue visitando "seu espelho" e assim nos dê notícias, detonando nossas armadilhas de câmera.

Nos miroirs brisent la monotonie de la vie quotidienne dans la forêt tropicale.
Les mandrills, gorilles, léopards et autres animaux sauvages peuvent s'approcher de ces miroirs à leur guise et rester devant eux aussi longtemps qu'ils le souhaitent.
Ayant constaté que plusieurs léopards mâles se rendaient à ce miroir, cela signifie que nous l’avons planté à cheval sur plusieurs territoires car ces félins sont des animaux territoriaux !
Il a été possible de les distinguer sans erreur grâce aux taches sombres, avec des formes et des emplacements particuliers sur leur fourrure, appelées "rosettes".
Parmi ces félins, il y a un mâle accro au miroir, repérable par son point noir sous la queue au-dessus des testicules, ses deux points noirs sous trois taches noires sur la partie extérieure du bas de sa patte arrière droite et par son motif semblable à un G majuscule (comme Gabon) au-dessus de son sourcil gauche.
En regardant les 34 vidéos de 45 secondes que ce male a déclenchées le 17/02/2020, nous avons malheureusement du constater qu’il a perdu le pied droit, victime d'un piège de braconnier.
Bien qu’invalide, 35 jours plus tard, il avait même repris son poids d'il y a 9 mois et, outre son handicap, il semble être en bonne santé ! (vidéo déclenchée le 21/03/2020)
Ne pouvant plus courir vite, pour survivre, ce léopard a probablement dû modifier son alimentation à des proies plus petites telles que : céphalophes communs, genettes servalines, mangoustes, amphibiens, chauves-souris, souris, rats géants d'Emin très présents dans cette région ainsi que des porcs-épics.
Pour certaines de ces proies, il a dû adapter sa technique de chasse à son handicap, en les attendant à la sortie de leur terrier et en se jetant sur elles, en les attrapant avec les griffes de sa patte avant valide, puis en les tuant en les mordant dans la nuque ?
Nous espérons qu'il va continuer à visiter "son miroir" et à nous donner ainsi des nouvelles en déclenchant nos pièges photographiques.
